LUPUS RESEARCH ALLIANCE – UNITED TO FREE THE WORLD OF LUPUS THROUGH THE POWER OF SCIENCE

Lupus Research Alliance, born from the merger of three organizations, is the world’s leading catalyst driving scientific discovery to prevent, treat and cure lupus. Combining the Alliance for Lupus Research, the Lupus Research Institute and the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation, the Lupus Research Alliance is a strong new champion for the lupus community. Collectively, our three organizations have already funded over $200 million in pioneering lupus research. By pushing the limits of scientific exploration and advancing research to new treatments, we seize every opportunity to transform the lives of all affected by this disease – patients, families, loved ones, and the entire lupus community. Because the Board of Directors covers all Lupus Research Alliance administrative and operating costs, 100% of all donations go directly to support research programs to help us all realize our vision of a world free of lupus.

BTIG COLLABORATION AND IMPACT:

For the past six years, the Lupus Research Alliance, formerly the Alliance for Lupus Research, has been a recipient of donations through its partnership with BTIG Charity Day. With BTIG’s support, the Lupus Research Alliance has been able to further support the New York City and San Francisco Walk with Us to Cure Lupus events that raise awareness and funds for lupus research. Past celebrity ambassadors that have participated in BTIG Charity Day to support the Lupus Research Alliance have included Robert Wood Johnson IV, Kelly Ripa, NY Jet Eric Decker, Rex Ryan and former New York Jets Mark Sanchez and Curtis Martin.

“Women, men and even children living with lupus can’t wait 10 or 20 years to find a cure. They need answers now!  Events like BTIG Charity Day help support our efforts to make this possible.”
--Robert Wood Johnson IV, Chairman of Lupus Research Alliance
